What do newborn babies, indigenous people, and Tom Brady have in common?
They move according to nature’s design.
It’s why they’re pain-free, and you’re not.
Here are 3 forgotten patterns that will restore your natural movement and fix your pain, forever:
“Listening to classical music makes babies smarter. Raises their IQ. We know this.
But the reason WHY, is interesting:
It’s because of what happens when the brain attempts to apprehend higher degrees of complexity.
Just like when you were learning to speak. At first, words sounded like gibberish. But as your brain developed over time, you were able to transform what was once bizarre onomatopoeia into meaningful sounds capable of transmitting ideas and concepts.
The same thing happens when the mind meets complexity. Between your ears, you possess a remarkable capacity for adaptation, in improving your ability to process whatever stimuli is in front of you.
So when you hear classical music, you can imagine what might take place, as far as the regions of the brain that light up.
Further, the same thing happens when you increase the reading level of the books you read.
Most people read at a level of “cat bat mat hat”. Functionally illiterate.
When you first expose yourself to more complex writing, it may actually take a second before your brain is able to effectively adjust and adapt to the increased reading level. It could feel like gibberish at first. But if you persist, and keep going, and do your best to really parse what is being said… eventually you feel it. It clicks. You get better. The adaptation is noticeable.
It’s just like the gym.
The reason lifting weights makes your muscles bigger is because the microfibers created during exercise signal to the brain:
“Hey! So uh… we (the body) encountered a level of physical activity that we are currently unequipped to adequately deal with. We (the body) demand adaption. We must respond to meet these demands by increasing bone density and muscle mass.”
And above all
The same applies to your ability to process language.
Best of all? The benefits of the brain gains you make from this, don’t end with language. But rather, result in a permanent increase in overall and general brain horsepower: As your ability to read increases, you’ll find that your ability to write upgrades alongside it. As a result of this, you can palpably and tangibly feel that even your everyday thinking transforms. It’s wild.
You just have to push past the uncomfortable part (Just like the gym!) to achieve the adaptation.
Go beyond the pain barrier.”
“The first great illusion is separation of self from everything else, the formation of an internal subjective experience.
Further in that direction is more illusion, more labyrinthine internal narratives.
This is why therapy and psychiatry are often damaging - they are a further retreat into the self, into abstraction and endless reflection.
The mind has infinite patients for additional recursive loops, self-references, but truth comes from breaking that and simply perceiving.
The more you are 'locked in' flow state as something that simply exists, and thinks, and acts, and the less time you spent thinking about yourself thinking about yourself, the happier and healthier and more adjusted you will be.
Connecting to reality aligns you with the truth.
Retreating into the illusions of the self can lead to justifying anything, no matter how evil.”
Volume #21 is dedicated to Sean Taylor (few) and the finite but infinite truth of 21 million bitcoins. A timely reminder:
“Bitcoin is a baby. A cute little orange baby.”
That’s all for this week (or is it?) :)
