“I’ve found that if you tuck one part of your pant leg into your sock, people expect less of you.”
-Gary Schwartz
“We were made by love and we’re here to love. Any other choice makes us miserable.”
-Pam Grout
Lesson 209 — REALITY IS UP FOR GRABS
“When my friend Jennifer was coming off hip surgery, she focused not on the pain, not on the inconvenience, but on the fact that every single day, the body creates 500 million new cells.
With all those new cells (and, yes, my body generates that many, too), there’s absolutely no reason I have to be the same today as I was yesterday. The real question is “What do I choose to communicate to these new cells?”
The options, according to Jenn, are: “Welcome to pain and misery. Or welcome to the party of vim, vigor, and vitality.”
I couldn’t say for sure, but I thought she looked at least five years younger.
Speaking of the pharmacopeia in your mind, here’s another miracle story from a reader named Kelly.
“My body gives me the hard proof that law of attraction principles are real and absolute.
Not only do I bless my food—I bless my body. I have a daily ritual where I look in the mirror and say I love you! You’re SO beautiful! Thank you, and then I hug myself and I talk to every single cell! Thank you, cells! I love you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I started this when I realized that each of us is our own personal universe commanding all these cells. Essentially, what we speak, what we believe act as ‘god’ (or creator) to those cells.
When I first started this practice many years ago, the excess weight I’d been carrying melted off. People asked me what I was doing, and I’d give them the utterly confusing answer ‘Just loving myself.’ That’s not what they wanted to hear. They wanted to hear ‘60 minutes of cardio every day followed by juice fasts and eating only cabbage!’”
Should we tell them, Kelly, about Lesson 209, about how love sets us free?
“93 years & 231 days old Ann Esselstyn dead hangs for 2 min 52 seconds! To set new world record. (Maybe we call it live hangs instead now?) Distal strength reflects many things.”
“A massive Swedish study followed 30,000 women for over 20 years and found that those who actively sought sun exposure had dramatically lower death rates from cancer, heart disease, and all causes.
The shocking part? Sun avoiders had roughly double the overall mortality.
Even heavy smokers who got plenty of sun had similar death rates to non-smokers who avoided it.
Sunlight appears to extend life through vitamin D, nitric oxide, and immune support - yet we're still told to hide from it. Are you getting enough sun?”
-Dr. Roger Seheult
That’s all for this week :)
