The Weekly Universe
Volume #53
“At bedtime the 8 yo told me his teacher said: "Think of your mind like a pond full of fish and each fish is a feeling. Try to be the pond, not the fish." And all I can say is primary school has significantly improved.”
“It's all a dopamine game.
Early bedtimes. Simple foods. Low stimulation. Reading instead of scrolling. Meditating instead of rotting. No phone in the morning. No notifications or texts until your work is complete.
The more you love the simple life, the more you can compound.”
“And then how do you think about success? How do you know when it works?”
“In adults, limiting smartphone functionality to texting and calls and blocking all social media and mobile internet for 2 weeks significantly improved attention, self-reported well-being and mental health. 90% of participants experienced a benefit.”
Wrote this early this morning:
"It’s absurd that we even have to deal with “bond markets” and a new “Fed chair.”
Bond markets debate the feasibility of an entity with $39 trillion in debt.
Spoiler alert: $39 trillion in debt.
Someone is anointed into the position of Head Manipulator of Money. That chair should not exist.
Economics should be simple. We become more productive through technological advancements and innovation. Prices drop. Our money’s purchasing power grows. Life gets more affordable.
There’s no inflation. There’s no incessantly-financialized market. There’s just productivity and money that can’t be manipulated.
Once you have money that accurately denominates the world’s productivity — which only happens with a fixed supply of money — the constant conversation around economics gets turned down. We just live life. Nature does its thing. We create new things. Life gets easier. We don’t need bond yields, and we don’t need someone anointed as the Head of Nature.
We live in the most backwards reality in human history. The entire globe prices reality with something that loses value. Understand how insane that is — and how it’s causing all of this other insanity. It’s not natural — that’s what most people can sense. We have thousands and thousands and thousands of years of deeply-ingrained intelligence telling us something is off. And that feeling is right.
It’s all because of unnatural money.
Let’s go to the other side.
Fix the money, fix the world.”
That’s all for this week :)
