This is the first edition of “The Weekly Universe.” And not the last.
The universe presents teachings to us every day, but often times, even though we may learn something in the moment, we forget them down the line.
These posts will be a collected gathering to document and keep record of the week’s best teachings from the universe.
There’s no particular agenda, there’s no particular structure, there’s no particular teaching. The Weekly Universe is a sharing of what was received in the past week.
Listening to theta waves 10-20 minutes before bed drastically lowered the time it took to fall asleep, improved sleep, and lowered heart rate variability (HRV). Here is the original post: https://x.com/arjunkhemani/status/1842017186589647072
And here is where you can listen to theta waves:
Circadian rhythm is the foundation for our health. Here are 20 circadian principles that will improve your quality of life, no matter your age or circumstance: https://x.com/zaidkdahhaj/status/1841501419624607936
Regenerative agriculture works. Look at this incredible example and the transformation from 2007 to 2013. Goes from barren, degraded wheat farm land to luscious, diverse greenery to where you can barely see the mountain in the backdrop.
Shoutout to Ryan Griggs of The Regenaissance. If you want to support Ryan and regenerative agriculture, here’s a link to his shop filled with regenerative merch of the highest possible quality. You get 10% back IN BITCOIN on your purchase. https://oshi.link/ha8zXB
I was reading a summary of “Outwitting the Devil” by Napoleon Hill and took some notes.
The devil will try to undermine you by making you a drifter. A drifter is somebody that doesn’t take action in alignment with their highest self.
All “drifting” habits have one or more of these traits:
Lazy
Low-effort rewards
Shallow gratification
Procrastination
Easy
Rationalization
-
Let’s walk through a simple example. You’re trying to lose weight. You spend all week eating healthy, walking outside, and working out in the gym. You make it to Saturday, you notice a box of cookies in the pantry. Your initial reaction is no, you want to give your body clean, healthy energy so it can lose weight. But then, the devil starts to make his way in. “You’ve earned it this week, one cookie won’t do you any harm…” “You can just walk it off after…” “You’ve got to reward yourself every once in a while, right?” You grab the box of cookies and eat away.
-
You’ve drifted. Deep down, you know eating the cookies is not in alignment with your highest self. But the devil doesn’t like your highest self, and it powerfully knows how to get you out of alignment. It rationalizes eating the cookie. Eating the cookie is easy, the reward is low-effort, and the gratification is shallow.
-
If you want to outwit the devil, don’t drift… more specifically, avoid the habits of a drifter. Is it lazy and easy? Does the reward come from low-effort? What is my gratification after doing this, shallow and cheap, or deep and true? Am I procrastinating? Is the devil trying to rationalize this behavior?

You know the answers.
From James Clear:
“Focus on your likes, not your wants.
You may not want to exercise, but you like how it makes you feel.
You may not want to write, but you like the act of writing.
You may not want to wake up early, but you like the calm beauty of the morning.
Wanting is the desire you feel before doing something. Liking is the satisfaction you feel while and after doing something. Let your likes guide you.”
“When the whole world tries to convince you you're not enough, the greatest act of rebellion is to sit there in your own bliss and know yourself as complete wholeness.”
