Foggy Clear
A lot of things go on inside of you; thoughts, feelings, emotions, judgments, interpretations, and more.
A lot of the “work” comes with working with these internal happenings. It can be difficult to decipher and understand what’s really going on. Sometimes frustrating, sometimes enlightening, sometimes confusing. But the best way to understand what’s going on inside isn’t to look inside.
It’s to look outside.
Specifically… how you are viewing your external world.
How you view your external world is a mirror to your internal world.
Do you judge somebody the moment they walk into your field of vision? Maybe, maybe not, but deeper than that, *how* do you judge them? However you see them is how you see yourself.
Your perception of your outside world is filtered through your own internal beliefs, insecurities, and conditioning. You are constantly projecting yourself onto everything else.
You look at your surroundings and think it’s not good enough? That’s you thinking you’re not good enough.
You look at somebody overweight and judge them for their appearance? You’re projecting your own insecurities about your body onto them.
Really, what most of these judgments come down to is a withdrawal of love. Notice when you judge your external world as imperfect — this is you withdrawing love from yourself. If you saw everything around you as lovingly perfect, not needing to be changed or altered to be worthy, you would immediately feel within yourself a greater degree of love. Try it.
(You might find the ego attempting to claw back with rationalities or reasons why things are imperfect… that’s okay… you can love that too)
I’ve been experimenting with this myself, both from the attuning of awareness side and giving unconditional love side. How judgmental I am! But… how less judgmental I am becoming.
Rather, how unconditionally loving I am becoming.
All judgment is self-judgment. Judge everything how you want to be judged, because, truly, whenever you judge anything, you are judging yourself.
There’s a lot to unpack here for each individual. But the work is unique to each of us. Begin to notice your external judgments, tune up your awareness to how you see the outside world. You will then have a transparent window into how you see yourself.
