Energy Begets Energy
The energy you seek lies in the action you take.
You are faced with many decisions every day as to what action to take. You often get pulled in by the cheap stuff — the quick highs, the instant gratifications, the super stimulators, the sugar rushes — but they almost always leave you drained of energy on the other side.
On the flip side, is the true stuff. The actions that bring about more energy on the other side.
Don’t you find it weird that a day sitting on the couch doing nothing leaves you more de-energized than a day with a two mile run, a cold plunge, and a long walk out in nature?
One obviously exerts more energy, but that one also begets more energy, because energy begets energy.
What to do with this?
You’d find it wise to create a list with two sides. On one side, you will have, “CHEAP.” On the other side, you will have, “TRUE.”
For the cheap side, identify and write down the actions that drain you of energy. These are cheap actions.
For the true side, identify and write down the actions that give you more energy. These are true actions.
You will come across decision points through your day, but now you have a manual. A GPS navigator. It’s your list. CHEAP? Or TRUE?
Cheap or true?
