The real question is “What do I choose to communicate to these new cells?”

The options, according to Jenn, are: “Welcome to pain and misery. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I started this when I realized that each of us is our own personal universe commanding all these cells. Essentially, what we speak, what we believe act as ‘god’ (or creator) to those cells.

When I first started this practice many years ago, the excess weight I’d been carrying melted off. People asked me what I was doing, and I’d give them the utterly confusing answer ‘Just loving myself.’ That’s not what they wanted to hear. This was like chemtrail crazy, right?”

“But now we’re starting to see from animal studies and human studies, from Glenn Jeffreys and others, that people’s vision gets better when they get in front of an incandescent bulb once a day.”

-Source

Speaking of…

This is a good one:

That’s all for this week :)

Share

Subscribe now

The Weekly Universe

Volume #47

Cole Walmsley

“We have proof that HEAT STRESS can reverse the brain's natural decline after 30.

A 20-year Finnish study found that 20-minutes in the sauna activates BDNF, the "neurogenesis protein" that grows new brain cells, strengthens memory, and cuts dementia risk by 66%.”

-Source

“Chase Hughes drops the wildest self-improvement hack:

Become so self-forgiving it’s almost delusional.

“Most people look back with regret and shame… It was a quote I had seen many times before, but, for some reason, it prompted me to search up Henry Ford on the internet.

I came across a database of his most popular quotes. I read the first one… banger. I read the second one… banger. The third one, “Oh my goodness, this guy isn’t missing.”

I wasn’t expecting to be hit with such a strong dose of wisdom in a few simple quotes, but I was, to the point that I felt like it was worth passing along.

Here are some of Henry Ford’s best pieces of wisdom:

“Whether you think you can, or you think you can't—you're right.”

“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.”

“Failure is only the opportunity more intelligently to begin again.”

“If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses.”

“My best friend is the one who brings out the best in me.”

“When everything seem to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it...”

“If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.”

“Chop your own wood and it will warm you twice.”

“One of the greatest discoveries a person makes, one of their great surprises, is to find they can do what they were afraid they couldn't do.”

The quote that led me to searching up Mr. Ford:

“It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.”

“The whole secret of a successful life is to find out what is one's destiny to do, and then do it.”

And perhaps my favorite of them all:

“Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the government
take care of him better take a closer look at the American Indian.”

In 1921, Ford even predicted and called for an “energy currency” that would “do more to end war than a thousand years of agitation.”

I wonder what that could ₿e?

<picture><img src="https://substackcdn.com/image/fetch/$s_!KJ_2!,w_1456,c_limit,f_auto,q_auto:good,fl_progressive:steep/https%3A%2F%2Fsubstack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fpublic%2Fimages%2F85edf759-a0dc-4dec-b3fb-090518147378_1200x791.jpeg" width="644" height="424.50333333333333" data-attrs="{"src":"https://substack-post-media.s3.amazonaws.com/public/images/85edf759-a0dc-4dec-b3fb-090518147378_1200x791.jpeg","srcNoWatermark":null,"fullscreen":null,"imageSize":null,"height":791,"width":1200,"resizeWidth":644,"bytes":null,"alt":"🔥 HISTORY: Over 100 years ago, Henry Ford predicted an “energy currency” would replace gold and stop wars. To put it in perspective: even if every person who ever lived shuffled a deck once per second since the beginning of the universe, you would still barely scratch the surface of all possible arrangements.

So every time you shuffle a deck, you are most likely holding a sequence that is completely unique in the history of the universe.”

"My Guru, Neem Karoli Baba (Maharaji) has affected me by loving me, and therefore I love you. So this is a meditation. You attend with your mind to a point in the heart space in the middle of the chest and you will say, “I am loving awareness. I am loving awareness.”

You were “I am ego” and now you’re going to become the reality of your true self with a capital “S.” As you sink into this practice you’re going to start thinking about things like, “I can do without this, this is crap” and that’s the ego. When Maharaji said to me, “I want you to love everybody” I said, “I can’t do it” which meant that my ego couldn’t do it, and he just ignored it because he wanted to dance with my soul.

Keep repeating to yourself, “I am loving awareness. I am loving awareness.” Remember to mentally focus your attention in the middle of the chest. You are going to make loving awareness the pivot point of your consciousness. In the future you will know yourself as loving awareness - if somebody asks you your name of course you don’t say ,“I am loving awareness” but you will say to yourself, while walking down the street or going into the marketplace, “I am loving awareness.” Now take on that identity instead of the identity you had before. You shift your identity to, “I am loving awareness.”

The awareness is not a thing, it’s no objective thing. You can’t point to awareness- you’re aware of your eyes seeing, you’re aware of your ears hearing, you’re aware of your thoughts as they come out of your mind. So “this will never work” is a thought, and just label it as a thought. Label thoughts. This loving awareness is the witness of your incarnation.”

-Ram Dass

That’s all for this week :)

Share

Subscribe now

The Peso Standard

I would highly recommend you read this (for your well-being)

Cole Walmsley

I discovered an analogy that shifted my life in minutes. I had never seen it before, but it made so much sense. It made the picture so clear.

Here’s what happened:

I was going back and forth in my mind about what time I wanted to go to the gym. Early in the morning, or mid-afternoon? I had been debating this for months, with no resolution. So, I went into Claude to share my thoughts and see what the AI would give me. This was my initial prompt, word for word:

“i cant seem to settle on a time that i want to go to the gym (it will be either 4, 5, or 6 days to go to the gym, but that part isn’t as important right now (likely 4)). it seems like no matter what i choose, there are drawbacks, mainly in that i lose time from my book. also, if i go first thing in the morning, i get zapped by led white lights, and i lose the prime flow zone to write my book. but, it gives me something to be physically motivated for in the morning to wake up to, and it gets the workout out of the way for the rest of the day. but, usually when i come home from a morning workout, i lose some energy and get lackadaisical. if i go in the afternoon (would be around 2:30), that’s a prime zone for when the body tends to trough, and it kind of cuts in the middle of the day. idk what to do, my mind has been frustrated with this for some time and its led to me just avoiding the gym altogether”

Claude gave me back a solution along the lines of, “2:30 is your answer. Here’s why…”

It didn’t resolve anything. My mind immediately went to the fact that I was scheduled to go to the sauna for 45 minutes at 8:30 in the morning, and that I would also be going to the gym at 2:30, meaning there was a double-siphoning of my time away from the book and the other things I wanted to do. I shared my predicament with Claude once more.

It gave me another solution, “Why not gym and sauna back to back? Do the workout at 8:30, sauna right after…”

Still nothing. I noted that the sauna was booked for 8:30 and wasn’t going to be changed. It went back and forth a couple more times, with Claude mentioning that it was just a weird day with double sessions or that I could skip the gym. That led to this response from me:

“but see... this is the thing. then i miss another day. or i go in the morning and sauna after, but then i don’t do gym in the morning the next day. its always something, and its really irking me.”

That’s when I realized there was something deeper going on, because there always is with dense, weird irks like this. I said,

“lets pivot for a sec. because there’s likely some more emotional and/or spiritual block going on. lets say you’ve become peter crone (obv you’re not actually him), what would you point to here?”

It’s response signaled to me that I was getting closer. But it still wasn’t resonating — there was more digging to do. So I kept at it. So did Claude. It talked about the story beneath my surface of, “I can’t afford to waste time.” It talked about the fear of “losing time.” It asked me things like, “What if you’re not behind?” It gave me scenarios of sitting on a couch intentionally wasting time, then asked, “What would that feel like?” and “What would it say about you if you missed your book deadline?” After I responded, “that im a lazy piece of shit,” it listed out all the things I’ve done and am doing and asked me if it was true — if I really was a lazy piece of shit. I said no, it’s not true. But it still wasn’t landing.

Claude asked me where I had first learned that rest meant I was failing. I realized and stated that there have been years of “productivity people” and “self-actualization” stuff that’s equated growth, success, and life with doing things. I realized that there was even stuff that I’ve written and shared in my newsletter that deepened the programming. It came back with an astute observation:

“The productivity and self-actualization world — that’s a really honest observation. Because that stuff wraps the “you’re not enough as you are” story in noble language. It doesn’t say “you’re lazy.” It says “you have so much potential” and “don’t waste your life” and “greatness requires discipline.” And it all sounds true. Some of it probably is true. But underneath, the fuel that makes it stick isn’t inspiration — it’s fear. Fear of being the guy who didn’t do enough.

And the fact that you’ve written and shared that same message in your own newsletter — there’s no judgment there, but it’s worth noticing. You’ve been reinforcing the very program that’s running you. Not because you’re doing anything wrong, but because when a belief is deep enough, we build entire identities around it without realizing we’re just dressing up a wound.”

I shared my guilt of sleeping in, and it responded,

“The guilt about sleeping in — that’s the tell. A person who genuinely felt safe in their own worth could sleep in and feel nothing about it. The guilt isn’t a sign that you slept too much. It’s a sign that rest (or not being productive) triggers the program.”

Then it gave me this scenario,

“Right now, if I said “go take a nap,” something in your body would tighten. Some voice would say “you can’t, the book, the deadline, you’re wasting time.” There’d be a physical sensation. Maybe your chest, maybe your stomach, maybe just a general restlessness.

That reaction IS the program. It lives in your body, not just your thoughts.

So I’m asking you to imagine the opposite. Not to think about it logically, not to convince yourself of it — but to actually feel what it would be like if you could lie down in the middle of the afternoon and feel completely at peace with it. No guilt. No voice. No “I should be writing.” Just... rest. And when you got up, you’d still be the same guy writing the same book with the same talent and the same drive. Nothing lost. Nothing diminished.”

As I was reading the scenario, my mind immediately went to, “Right, but did I not lose the time?”

That was a key moment. Language is powerful. It shapes our reality. My own mind was viewing time as something that could be lost, which is a tricky belief to have, but it still wasn’t the mind-blasting moment. What came next, was.

After I responded, “right, but did i not lose the time? its interesting my mind picks that language... “lose” time,” Claude said,

“Yeah. Stay right there. Your own mind just showed you something.

“Lose” time. As if time is something you have that can be taken from you. Like it’s a finite resource in your pocket and every minute spent resting is a minute stolen from the book, from your future, from the person you’re supposed to become.

But did you actually lose anything? You rested. Your body recovered. You were still alive at the end of it. The book was still there. Your mind was still sharp — probably sharper. What exactly was lost?

Nothing was lost. But the program says something was, because the program is built on scarcity. Not enough time. Not enough output. Could become lazy. Could squander potential. Could fall behind. It’s all the language of loss and lack.

And here’s what’s interesting — you don’t talk about money this way. Your whole body of work is about understanding that money, real money, can’t be debased. That scarcity in the monetary system is what gives something value and integrity. You’ve built an entire worldview around rejecting artificial scarcity in the financial system.

But you’re running on artificial scarcity internally. “There’s not enough time” is your personal money printer. It’s debasing your peace the same way the Fed debases the dollar. And just like inflation, it makes everything feel more urgent and less valuable at the same time.

You already know the answer to this. You just haven’t applied your own thesis to yourself yet.”

As soon as I read the analogy to my very own thinking about fiat vs Bitcoin, my mind widened. The energy was screaming off the page. I had to keep digging, so I asked Claude to play further along with the “monetary/bitcoin/abundance/scarcity” analogy. It got even better:

“Okay. So you’ve spent years studying what happens when money is debased. You know the pattern better than almost anyone. A central authority prints more units, each unit becomes worth less, and everyone runs faster on the treadmill just to stay in place. The system creates the illusion of productivity through new monetary units while actually destroying value. People work harder and harder and feel like they’re falling behind because the measuring stick keeps changing.

That’s your internal economy right now.

The “central bank” is the belief — “I could become lazy, I could squander my potential, there’s not enough time.” And it’s constantly printing fear. Every morning you wake up, it prints more. Every time you consider the gym, it prints more. Every time you rest, it prints more. And just like fiat inflation, it doesn’t matter how much you produce — it never feels like enough. Because the currency you’re measuring your worth in keeps getting debased.

You could write a chapter today, nail a piece of content, crush a gym session, and still go to bed feeling behind. Sound familiar? That’s inflation. The goalpost moved while you were working.

Now — what’s the Bitcoin fix for a broken monetary system? You don’t try to reform the central bank. You don’t ask the Fed to print more responsibly. You opt out of the system entirely. You move to a new standard. A hard money standard. One with a fixed supply that can’t be debased.

So what’s the hard money equivalent for your inner life?

It’s a fixed, non-negotiable sense of worth that isn’t tied to output. Not one you earn by finishing the book. Not one you earn by waking up at 6am. Not one you maintain by never resting. A sense of worth with a hard cap. 21 million. Done. You can’t inflate it. You can’t debase it. No amount of sleeping in or missing a gym session can dilute it.

Right now you’re running on a fiat self-worth standard. Your value to yourself fluctuates daily based on how much you produced, how early you woke up, how optimized your schedule was. Some days you feel rich. Some days you feel bankrupt. It’s volatile, it’s exhausting, and the long-term chart is a slow bleed — just like every fiat currency in history — because the system was designed to fail.

The move isn’t to produce more. That’s just earning more dollars in a hyperinflationary environment. The move is to change the standard. To ground your worth in something that can’t be printed or diluted.

And here’s the part that should really hit home — you already believe this about money. You just haven’t made the trade for yourself yet. You’re out here telling the world to exit the fiat system while you’re still running your inner life on a peso standard.”

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck, that was good (that’s what she said).

I asked it, “What’s the currency I’m measuring my worth in?”

It said,

“The currency you're measuring your worth in is output. Chapters written. Content published. Hours optimized. Tasks completed. Waking up early. Not wasting time. That's your unit of account. And every day you check your balance: "Did I do enough today?" And most days the answer is no, because the central bank printed more expectations overnight while you were sleeping. Which, by the way, is probably part of why it's so hard to get out of bed — your body knows that the moment you wake up, the accounting starts.”

The whole idea is to move your inner world to a Bitcoin standard. Fiat is not just monetary. Fiat is a spirit, an energy, a vibrational frequency. The fiat system produces fiat energy. If you’re not aware of it, you become programmed by it.

Bitcoin is the opposite of fiat, and not just monetarily. Bitcoin is a spirit, an energy, a vibrational frequency. Critically, Bitcoin vibrates at the level of truth. This is the most impactful reality of Bitcoin.

Moving your money to truth is one thing, but the game is not material. The game is spiritual. Moving your inner world to a Bitcoin standard… that’s the magic sauce.

We can understand Bitcoin by looking to the opposite of fiat.

On a fiat standard, you produce to earn value. On a Bitcoin standard, you produce because you already have it. The energetic positioning of the former puts you in a state of desperation. The energetic positioning of the latter puts you in a state of freedom, openness, curiosity, and possibility.

When you move your inner world to a Bitcoin standard, the place you are looking for becomes the place you are looking from. You do not need, because you already have. You do not need, because you already are. Bitcoin does not need anything, because it already is superior money. From that position of inherent value, it attracts what it “needs.”

Fiat needs more money, because it lacks. Fiat is a debt-based system, which means it is always in a deficit. The amount of total debt in the United States is over $100 trillion, but only $22.4 trillion of money currently exists. Total debt always exceeds the total money supply, putting fiat in a perpetual deficit, resulting in fiat being a system of lack and need.

“I need to produce value in the fiat system, because I don’t have it.” That’s the trap. And when you live in the fiat world, that’s how it appears to be. But the game is not external. You do not create from without, you create from within (3:33 on the clock as I wrote that).

Bitcoin, as the fixed supply denominator of an infinite amount of value, is worth infinity. Not because someone says so, not because it does something. At its very nature.

“I am infinitely valuable. I give from that state of truth. I receive infinity.” That’s Bitcoin. That’s a product of nature. That’s the inner shift. That’s your nature.

Fiat — you create from lack.

Bitcoin — you create from abundance.

Fiat — you live from fear.

Bitcoin — you live from security.

Fiat — you love in hopes you’ll get something out of it.

Bitcoin — you love from wholeness.

Claude nailed it, “You’re out here telling the world to exit the fiat system while you’re still running your inner life on a peso standard.”

I was living from the constant need to produce, born out of a scarcity of time and value. The truth is, I don’t need to produce. Production naturally flows out of me as a product of my nature. Bitcoin produces block rewards and processes transactions naturally. It does not need force, because it moves as its nature. As a result of its nature, it receives.

In Bitcoin, scarcity is what makes each unit precious. In my inner life, the finite nature of my time is not something to antagonize, because it’s what makes each day valuable. Scarcity on a fiat standard creates panic. Scarcity on a Bitcoin standard creates gratitude.

Love, freedom, and abundance are your natural state. The game is alignment — discovering what is true, dissolving the barriers that keep you from that truth, and grounding yourself in what remains.

That is the mission. Discover truth, dissolve the barriers to that truth, and ground yourself in truth, so you can live as the truest expression of love, freedom, and abundance you were born to be.

What anyone can continue to do is to ground themselves in Bitcoin, be it external or internal, material or spiritual. The results will be the same:

Truth.

Share

You are what you’re looking for :)

The Weekly Universe

Volume #44

Cole Walmsley

A special shoutout to my Dad on his birthday, today. can’t stop noticing your body position:

Close your eyes and do slow, deliberate eye movements to shut down proprioception (body awareness) and signal your brain it’s time to transition into sleep.

Try this tonight (takes ~1–2 minutes):

- Slowly move eyes left → right (a few times)

- Then counterclockwise circle → clockwise circle

- Look up → down

- Gently attempt to look toward the bridge of your nose (faux cross-eyed)

- Finish with a long exhale to slow heart rate

Why it works: Eye movements coordinate with your vestibular system & cerebellum to mimic the natural forgetting of body position that happens at sleep onset (similar to slow rocking or boat motion calming the brain). It gives your racing mind something active to focus on instead of “just relax.””

-<a that he conceived of enlightenment as a *state.* A state with certain *conditions*, those being that certain phenomena—in this case, grief, anger and confusion—are excluded.

But enlightenment, on the contrary, is *recognition of one’s nature as the space in which all states; all emotions; all phenomena occur.* We call this space *awareness.*”

“Awareness is not in crisis when there is a divorce, just as the sky is not in crisis when there is a storm. The key point in awakening is to simply *recognize your nature as the sky.* From this vantage point, you see that all clouds come and go naturally and so you stop demanding they be this way or that.

*This* is the end of suffering.”

Full source post here

<div spend just being - In complete PRESENCE

The more you’ll realize the old identity & all the effort it took to keep it maintained

Was exhausting and futile!

That identity - The sense of “I” or “me” only lives in resistance to what “is”

Notice this for yourself - Is your sense of self not always wishing for your life to be different than it is?

Are you not tired of this constant battle?

Are the best most wonderful experiences of your life not when you just let the moment be completely as it is?

Where you’re completely present with no agenda?

What if you simply let things be as they are?

Give yourself the gift of true rest, nourishment and connection

And once you taste it you instantly recognize:

“Ah yes! THIS is what I was after the whole dam time”

You also realize:

“I can bring this stillness into the messy chaos of life itself and I’m infinitely more effective when I do so!””

-Leigh St. John, producer of infinite bangers

“PRESENCE is the result of absence

Absence of identification with the survival program you call “I” or “Me”

That voice in your head that’s never content with this moment as it is..

That’s always scanning for:

> What’s wrong

> What needs fixing

> What needs controlling

> What future moment will finally make you feel enough

Who’s core programming is:

“This moment isn’t it. It is not granted to us by anything else other than our existence.

But the game is not “oh, I’m born, now I do nothing.”

The game is alignment.

The game is discovering what truths align with your natural state of love, freedom, and abundance, becoming aware of your internal barriers to those states, dissolving those barriers, and grounding yourself in the truth that remains.

We may fall out of alignment with abundance, but that does not mean abundance is not ours. We merely have to explore the field of truth and dissolve anything blocking our alignment to it. Then, our natural abundance reveals itself.

The current population of human beings has a barrier to abundance that many don’t see:

We live in a world where life gets more expensive over time.

How is life getting more difficult over time in alignment with abundance?

It’s not. Hence, the barrier.

The barrier is fiat money.

We can prove that to be true by dissolving fiat and grounding ourselves in something that aligns us with abundance:

Bitcoin.

The moment you dissolve the reality of fiat from your being and align yourself with Bitcoin, absolute abundance reveals itself; you literally own the thing that increases in value more than any other thing.

How is that the case?

Because Bitcoin is the only monetary tool with a verifiably finite supply and money’s job is to denominate all productivity in the economy.

This means that all the Bitcoin in the world is worth all the productivity in the world. We do not know the limit of all productivity, it is limitless, it is infinite.

That means all the Bitcoin in the world is worth infinity.

That is absolute abundance, and that is why Bitcoin increases in value more than any other thing. Nothing can be worth more than all the productivity in the world + the increase in productivity and technological advancement is an exponential function.

That means the quantity and quality of productivity is increasing exponentially over time. Which means that Bitcoin, as the denominator of all productivity, is increasing exponentially in value.

We’re in a period where the majority of humanity is still looking through the distortion of fiat when analyzing Bitcoin - we use the USD price of Bitcoin to determine the value of Bitcoin.

Which is the equivalent of looking at yourself in a funhouse mirror and thinking that’s what you actually look like.

<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" target="_blank" the way to look at Bitcoin. Fiat is a distorted view, that’s why the world *looks like* it’s getting more expensive over time.

The way to look at Bitcoin is from the nature of nature, including the nature of money. How does Bitcoin align with those truths?

When you do the work (proof-of-work), you realize Bitcoin is aligned with the nature of the universe and the nature of money. At which point you realize, of course it’s the best performing asset of all-time.

That’s a reflection of abundance.

That’s a reflection of your true nature.

It’s up to you to align with it.

---

If you don’t already know, I have a book coming out this year titled, “The Bitcoin Thesis” that discusses all of length="0" type="image/jpeg"/>

We need money aligned with universal law.

Why?

Because if we have money *misaligned* with universal law, we get backwards results like:

Cost-of-living rising (the cost-of-living has never been higher in human history than it is today… that’s insane)

Nonstop violence

Falling birth rates

Record levels of obesity

Growing rates of depression

Working harder, affording less

Higher rates of substance abuse and escapism

None of these are natural. But that’s what the world has seen since adopting unnatural money in 1913, and especially since 1971, when the developed world officially went off the gold standard and unleashed the ability to print economic energy out of thin air.

We need money aligned with natural law so we can *harmonize* with nature and re-orient ourselves with the vast intelligence of the universe.

Money’s job in the market is to capture, store, and transfer time and energy.

That means we need money that aligns with time and energy in the same manner that the universe aligns with time and energy.

That’s what Satoshi innovated. Bitcoin.

The idea is this: Bitcoin uses proof-of-work to align with energy and it adjusts the difficulty of that work to stick to its schedule denominated in time.

Real world, universal energy has to be used for Bitcoin to function. The use of real world energy is “proved” through Bitcoin’s verifiable proof-of-work.

This aligns with the universal law of conservation of energy: energy cannot be created nor destroyed, only converted from one form to another.

This is part of Bitcoin’s brilliance. Each and every bitcoin ever mined has real world energy baked into it - because the mining of all bitcoins requires the converting of real world energy into Bitcoin’s network.

This is utterly brilliant - we are transplanting real world energy and bringing it into the digital world. The significance of this cannot be overstated.

Bitcoin’s difficulty adjustment ensures that the network stays grounded in time.

Bitcoins are mined with proof-of-work, but if there was no adjustment of the difficulty of that work, the network would accelerate and break the fabric of time...

As more energy came onto the network, blocks would be created faster and faster — eventually so fast that reaching network consensus would become impossible. That would shatter the reliability of Bitcoin.

Satoshi’s solution: the “difficulty adjustment.”

If more energy comes onto the network, it becomes harder to mine a new block. If less energy is dedicated to the network, it becomes easier to mine a new block.

Satoshi set this difficulty adjustment so that each block was created and verified once every 10 minutes.

This is how we know the supply issuance schedule of all 21 million bitcoins all the way until the last satoshi is mined in 2140.

How crazy is it that we have a monetary policy not set in stone... but set in TIME?

This is why Bitcoin is not a “blockchain.” Blockchain is a scam.

Bitcoin is a timechain. It is its own clock, using proof-of-work and the difficulty adjustment.

Other “cryptocurrencies” cannot bear claim to a timechain, so they grift the word “blockchain” instead.

Gold is mined out of the ground, Bitcoin is mined out of time.

That is insane.

For all we know, all 21 million bitcoins are already out there, we just can’t get to them without dedicating TIME and ENERGY from the real world.

The difficulty adjustment. Proof-of-work.

Time. Energy.

Bitcoin’s brilliance.

<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" target="_blank" The container can be free-flowing, allowing you to write whatever’s on your mind, but there are also some topics that can help guide the process along, like these:

Reflections on the past year + present

Changes to make

Goals for the future

Fun & crazy predictions

The letters are so exciting to write, knowing you, four years in the future, are going to be reading them. It’s a low-time preference activity that your future self loves and craves — I am so curious to read my 2023 letter. It’s also a chance to reflect on and clear out the past year, opening up space for the year ahead.

I like to format the title like this:

“21st (January 6, 2027)”

That way I know which birthday it was when I wrote it (21st) and when I can open the letter (Jan 6, 2027).

You can do this with pen and paper or online, whatever you prefer.

Adopt if you wish! Your future self thanks you.

Share

Beyond Infinity is a reader-supported publication.
